This listing is for one Clivia miniata seedling – (Koike x Hirao) x Hirao.
This is a 36 month old seedling being from late 2016 seed with 5 – 6 leaves and an unpigmented base.
The parent is a cross from Mick Dower and was labelled as (Koike x Hirao). This flowered in 2015 and opened a very unusual lime green colour. It stayed this colour for about 4 days. It was so vivid and green that it stood out among all other plants. Unfortunately I did not take a photo of it at the time. By the 5th day it has turned yellow. The photo is after it had turned yellow. The flowers did not have a green throat. The entire petals were a lime green.
The pollen parent is my favourite Hirao plant. It is a lovely solid green with an intense green throat and very attractively shaped flowers.
This seedling has plenty of potential but I can’t say what colour it will end up.
This seedling is not expected to flower for another 3 or so years and will need extra care until it is established. Please refer to the Clivia Help Guides for tips on caring for your seedling.
SORRY I CAN ONLY POST TO VICTORIA, NEW SOUTH WALES, QUEENSLAND AND SOUTH AUSTRALIA.
